About the Doctor

A Cardiologist Who Has Seen It All

Dr. Suresh Kamath is one of the most experienced interventional cardiologists in Coastal Karnataka, bringing over two decades of clinical practice across some of India's premier cardiac centres. Trained at AIIMS New Delhi and holding a prestigious fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic in the United States, Dr. Kamath has performed more than 4,800 cardiac procedures ranging from emergency primary angioplasty in acute heart attacks to complex multi-vessel revascularisation and structural heart interventions.

He joined MNR Hospital with a singular conviction: that patients across Mangalore, Udupi, and Kasaragod deserve the same quality of cardiac care available in major metros without the physical and financial burden of long-distance travel. Under his clinical leadership, the Cardiology Department has grown into a fully functional interventional unit with two cath labs, a dedicated Cardiac ICU, and a multidisciplinary heart failure programme.

Beyond procedures, Dr. Kamath is known for his patient communication taking the time to explain complex diagnoses in plain language, ensuring that patients and families feel informed and in control at every step of their care journey. His approach blends clinical rigour with genuine human warmth.
